Choose Tabulera when

  • You or your client need every invoice reconciled every month against HRIS or payroll data, with exceptions tracked to closure.
  • You also want carrier enrollment feeds, consolidated invoicing or premium payments handled. Planlined does none of those.

Choose Planlined when

  • Invoice reconciliation is one part of the broker's work on a case, next to quote parsing, comparisons, renewals and the proposal book.
  • You want to check an invoice against the census and contracted rates without connecting an HRIS or setting up carrier feeds.
  • Budget: Planlined is $75 a month, or $62 billed annually, for the whole proposal workflow including reconciliation. Tabulera's published Starter plan is $399 a month, or $319 billed annually, for a dedicated premium administration platform.

Frequently asked

Questions about switching.

Is Planlined an alternative to Tabulera?
Partly. Both reconcile benefits invoices against enrollment. Tabulera is a premium administration platform that also runs EDI carrier feeds, consolidated invoicing and premium payments, connected to HRIS and payroll systems. Planlined is benefit-proposal software for brokers that reconciles an invoice against the census and contracted rates inside the same case used for quotes, renewals and proposals. Planlined does not send EDI feeds, consolidate invoices or move premium payments.
How do Tabulera and Planlined differ on price?
Tabulera publishes a Starter plan for fewer than 500 employees under one EIN at $399 a month, or $319 a month billed annually, with a 30-day free trial; Pro and Enterprise are priced per employee per month and not published. Planlined is $75 a month, or $62 a month billed annually, and the first proposal is free.
Does Tabulera build benefit proposals?
The Tabulera pages reviewed on October 17, 2026, and rechecked on October 20, describe reconciliation, carrier connectivity, consolidated invoicing and payments. They do not describe quote comparison or proposal building.
