PerfectQuote alternatives for benefits brokers

PerfectQuote is a capable group benefits quoting platform — RFP workflows to carriers and a Proposal Reader that parses carrier proposals and SBCs across 400+ formats — but it is bought a specific way: a two-year agreement, per-user pricing of $141 to $272 a month with a two-user minimum, no free trial or self-serve setup, and four to five weeks of structured onboarding. Brokers who look for an alternative are usually not unhappy with the parsing. They want to run a real case this week, pay a flat price, or avoid a multi-year commitment. Planlined is one of the five options below; the others are described from their own public pages.

Vendor prices and terms on this page are as of September 2026. PerfectQuote's figures come from its own public pages, including its getting-started FAQ; the Planlined vs PerfectQuote comparison lists every source, and each alternative below links to a comparison with its sources.

What to look for instead

Four things separate a real PerfectQuote alternative from a lookalike. Document-first parsing, so the case starts from the carrier PDF or spreadsheet you already received. A self-serve start, so you can test the parser on your own quotes before anyone sends a contract. A published price, ideally flat rather than per user, so a two-person shop is not paying for seats. And the rest of the deliverable — contribution modeling, the proposal book, the employee guide — from the same reviewed data, so nothing gets re-keyed after the comparison.

Planlined

Planlined parses carrier PDFs and spreadsheets — quotes, SBCs, rate sheets and invoices — with no cap on documents per case, into a side-by-side comparison across unlimited carriers, contribution modeling with five or more structures and a scenario manager, invoice reconciliation, and branded proposal-book and employee-guide exports. Pricing is published: the first proposal is free with no card, then Professional is $75 a month or $62 a month billed annually, with Enterprise custom. It suits brokers who want to start today on a flat price and who need the guide and reconciliation from the same case. See the full Planlined vs PerfectQuote comparison.

QuoteMap

QuoteMap uploads up to eight carrier PDFs or spreadsheets per case, extracts 26 fields per plan, applies employer contribution per tier, and produces proposals and benefit guides. It is the closest feature match to PerfectQuote's parser for small and mid-size brokerages that are comfortable with per-seat pricing. Pricing is published: per-seat tiers of $100, $200 and $350 a month, with three free runs to start. See the Planlined vs QuoteMap comparison.

Plansight

Plansight reads carrier proposals in whatever format they arrive, normalizes them into side-by-side comparisons, builds presentations and offers unlimited scenario modeling. It is sold to mid-size and large brokerages through a sales process, with national-firm references, and does not publish pricing or a self-serve plan. If PerfectQuote's onboarding is the objection, Plansight is not the answer; if the objection is the per-user model at a large firm, it may be. See the Planlined vs Plansight comparison.

BenSuite

BenSuite is an all-in-one broker platform — CRM, quoting, renewals, commissions and enrollment — where BenBuilder AI turns an uploaded carrier quote PDF into a side-by-side spreadsheet shareable by branded link or PDF. It suits agencies that want to replace several tools at once rather than only the quoting step. Pricing is published: $99 per agency user a month, or $84 a month billed annually, with a 30-day free trial and no credit card required. See the Planlined vs BenSuite comparison.

Outmarket AI

Outmarket AI is a broker-wide AI platform for commercial lines and employee benefits. Its benefits product takes plan documents from up to ten carriers and a census, produces side-by-side comparisons across medical, dental, vision, life, disability and retirement plans, runs contribution-split scenarios with affordability calculations, and reconciles carrier bills against enrollment. It integrates with AMS360, Applied Epic, HawkSoft and Nexsure. Pricing is not published and there is no documented free trial; entry is by demo. It suits P&C-led agencies that want one AI platform across both lines. See the Planlined vs Outmarket AI comparison.

How to choose

  • How soon you need to run a case. Planlined, QuoteMap and BenSuite let you upload a real quote today. Plansight and Outmarket AI start with a demo. PerfectQuote starts with a contract and four to five weeks of onboarding.
  • How you want to pay. Flat and unlimited (Planlined, $75), per seat (QuoteMap from $100, BenSuite $99 per agency user), or negotiated (Plansight, Outmarket AI). PerfectQuote is $141 to $272 per user on a two-year term.
  • What else you need from the same data. If the employee guide and invoice reconciliation matter, that narrows the list to Planlined, QuoteMap for the guide, and Outmarket AI for reconciliation. If you want RFP traffic to carriers managed inside the tool, PerfectQuote remains the specialist.
